Experimental Biology and Biomedicine

The National Day for Scientific Culture was marked by science communication activities by the 1st year PDBEB students. Around 25 students took part in activities to promote scientific culture, with informal presentations of their doctoral work to non-specialized audiences. During this day, the students organized the session "Tell me science in 3 minutes" at the Quinta das Flores Secondary School / Coimbra Conservatory of Music with more than 90 high-school students. They also organized SciTech speeddating at TUMO with informal conversations with around 60 participants in this innovative project in Coimbra. With the support of the Communication Division of the University of Coimbra, they also produced a video to mark this day. It can be seen here. These activities were organized as part of the advanced course "Connecting Researchers with the Society and Industry".
